Austin Tate Fuller

Austin Fuller is a philosophy student, currently attending Temple University for his PhD starting in the fall of 2022. Largely, his research is focused around the philosophy of art and aesthetics.

Research Interests

Most of my interests are in aesthetics and the philosophy of art, particularly in the philosophy of humor and video games (or games in general). I grew up playing video games and never thought about how philosophically interesting they could be until studying at CUNY Graduate Center when I studied the philosophy of film and the philosophy of literature, and seeing that video games have become such a large part of culture in at least the United States, I think it's important to think seriously about them.

I am also interested in other areas such as the philosophy of language, political philosophy, and 19th Century philosophy.
